How we protect your data

All conversation data is stored against a random identifier — never a name or any directly identifying information.

When conversations are used for product improvement, they are anonymised before processing. No individual teen can be identified from this anonymised data.

We use industry-standard encryption for data storage and transmission. Access to conversation data is strictly limited to authorised Ignition staff and only for safety review purposes.

AI training — your choice

We would like to use anonymised conversation data to train and improve Ignition's AI models. This helps Sparks become better at supporting teenagers over time.

Explicit opt-in only. We will only use your child's conversations for AI training if you have explicitly confirmed YES TRAINING when contacted by Ignition. Silence or inaction does not constitute consent.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing sparks@ignitionuk.co.uk — this will not affect your child's access to Ignition.

If you have not explicitly opted in, your child's conversations will never be used for AI training purposes.

Children's privacy — under 16s

Ignition is designed for teenagers aged 13–17.

We never knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover a user is under 13 we will immediately delete their data and close their account.
